Brewers by Royal appointment

June 10th, 2016

Queen Elizabeth II is the UK’s longest reigning monarch, and with Her Majesty celebrating her 90th birthday Brewers reflect on their own heritage which spans over 110 colourful years.

Brewers has seen five reigning monarchs in their trading history and in 2011 were awarded the prestigious Royal Warrant for supplying decorating materials to the Household of HM The Queen.

Formed in 1840 the Royal Warrant Association provides recognition of those who supplied goods or services to the Households of HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh or HRH The Prince of Wales for at least five years, and who have an ongoing trading arrangement.

Currently there are around 800 Royal Warrant holders representing a huge cross-section of trade and industry.

Brewers Victoria branch, found on Eccleston Street in London, supplies decorating materials direct to the Palace. In proud recognition of the Royal connection, the Royal Warrant stands proudly above the door to the compact London branch.
